Provide support for prospective students and their support network, and high school counselors and teachers in regards to the admissions process. Responsibilities and Essential Duties 1. Serve as an integral part of our domestic application processing team by uploading application materials, releasing admissions decisions, and running daily error reports2. Answer main admissions phone lines, return voicemails and respond to general Admissions email3. Analyze and update data from application to Slate and Banner4. Troubleshoot issues as needed when pushing applications through the process5. Compile and organize high school and college transcripts for entry into Slate/Banner6. Process and distribute delivered mail7. Address discrepancies regarding applicant’s residency8. Maintain high school CEEB codes9. Assist with mailing of acceptance packets, deposit packets, and parent guides10. Interact with administrative units including academic departments, Financial Aid, Registrars, Payroll Services, and Graduate School11. Assist with managing duplicate applications 12. Troubleshoot prospective student login information13. Assist with the supervision of front desk students and assign them projects as needed14. Assist with daily campus visits by helping guests register, greeting guests, and answering questions15. Assist at large-scale on-campus recruitment events including Open House and Preview Day16. Commit to continuously improving and thinking of outside-the-box solutions that would improve our admissions process17. Take an active role in staying current with Michigan Tech news, events, facts, figures, degree programs, and related institutional information 18. Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work. Actively engage in University continuous improvement initiatives19. Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work20.
