The Business Support Center performs a wide range of administrative support related tasks that contribute to the overall smooth operations of diverse functions while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and professional. Custodian Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
Responsible for the performance of routine and special custodial duties in facilities and grounds as assigned. Work is performed in accordance with instructions and schedules provided, with results regularly inspected. Provide excellent customer service to a wide variety of internal and external customers.
Campus Architect Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
Overall administration of the University architectural planning, design, and construction projects, including new buildings or renovations. Responsible for managing small in-house design projects and managing consultants and University staff on large projects. Responsible for updating and implementing periodic updates to the Campus Master Plan working with other members of the University Campus Community and outside consultants. Working with the University Sr Administration and other Facility Management peers manage and maintain data on the University building space and condition. Advise and make recommendations to the AVP Facilities Management, the Director of Planning & Construction, and other members of the University community on all aspects of architectural design, construction, life safety, and code compliance in pursuit of the University objectives.
Facilities Coordinator Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
Assist with the oversight of custodial and maintenance services for campus buildings, including providing administrative and technical support for the department. Testing Center Manager Main Campus (Houghton, MI)

Research Scientist I – Applied Mathematician/Statistician Michigan Tech Research Institute (Ann Arbor, MI)

Campus Electrical Engineer Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
Overall administration of the campus electrical system, including high and low voltage. Ensure system compliance with NEC and other pertinent code requirements to provide a safe and dependable electrical system for the University. Work with in-house personnel and outside consultants as necessary to coordinate projects, changes, and expansion of the system. Design and manage small electrical projects or coordinate with outside consultants for larger projects to properly modify the existing system as required. Michigan Technological University's College of Business invites applicants for an Assistant Teaching Professor in Accounting. The position requires the teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting/taxation, as well as maintaining an active research agenda as a scholarly-academic (SA) per AACSB standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate teaching experience and/or expertise in taxation. Teaching experience in financial statement analysis and some background in assessment of learning are also highly desirable. Candidates with a PhD, or JD with evidence of scholarship, and candidates near completion of their PhD (ABD) will be considered. A broad range of research interests will be considered, including pedagogical research in accounting/taxation. The ability to leverage research expertise in the classroom will be prioritized.
