The Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement works collaboratively with alumni and university leadership to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive program designed to provide meaningful opportunities for alumni to enhance loyalty, dedication, and support for Michigan Tech. This position serves as an on-campus spokesperson for over 80,000 living alumni, leads efforts to create and sustain strong value connections for alumni and friends across the state, country, and around the world. The Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement develops programs to facilitate lifelong dialogue between the University and its constituents to increase alumni participation and giving. The ideal candidate engages alumni and friends to actively contribute back to the University through philanthropic support, fostering strong relationships with alumni by engaging them in the life of the University and with other alumni. The Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement develops and maintains cooperative and collaborative relationships and programs with University units, such as Admissions, Career Services, Parent and Family Programs, Athletics, Student Affairs, and academic colleges and departments.

Geospatial Data Analyst or GIS Librarian Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Geospatial Research Facility (GRF) at Michigan Technological University invites applications for a full-time Geospatial Data Analyst or GIS Librarian to join the interdisciplinary research community in the Great Lakes Research Center. The GRF is seeking a highly motivated, intellectually curious professional interested in supporting research in GIS for environmental and social scientists. This individual will support multiple projects from across the campus community working directly in a collaborative environment with faculty and research scientists to solve geospatial research questions, develop GIS methodologies, document and manage geospatial data, and support the development and deployment of GIS web services and apps. Catering Manager Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Catering Manager plans, organizes, manages and directs the day-to-day activities, customer service and daily functions of Michigan Tech Catering .The Catering Manager participates in the management of the departmental fiscal controls, with emphasis on food, labor and the costs of equipment necessary to perform catering events on the campus. The Catering Manager coordinates the delivery process and serves as the sales coordinator, as it relates to catering. This position supervises ordering, receiving, storing and issuing of products required to complete Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). The Catering Manager participates in the development of service styles, recommends creative merchandising and attractive display of menu items and instructs subordinates in proper etiquette related to catered events. The Catering Manager is responsible for the day-to-day interactions with clients regarding room setups, logistics and overall event needs. The Catering Manager participates in the selection, training, supervision and performance evaluations of assigned career and student staff, as well as the coordination of the custodial and light maintenance functions of the department. The Catering Manager may be required to oversee other retail or residential facilities and staff, including Cooks, Cooks Helpers, Stores Clerks, Custodians, and Food Service Helpers.

MTRAC Commercialization Program Director Lakeshore Center (Houghton, MI)
This position is responsible for managing the Advanced Materials Michigan Translational Research and Commercialization (MTRAC) Hub. The Advanced Materials MTRAC Hub is a statewide funding program that supports the translation of technologies resulting from research within Michigan universities, hospital systems, and non-profit research centers into commercial practice. The Program Director is responsible for recruiting prospective projects, managing the review process for proposed projects, and ensuring projects are satisfying milestones and other contractual commitments. This position is also responsible for actively supporting the commercialization of technologies within the program by assisting in such activities as engaging strategic partners and identifying and following through on funding opportunities to support follow-on technical and business de-risking activities.
