Job Description Summary Perform clerical and administrative support functions for the Benefits Office. Provide front line customer service to faculty, staff, students and visitors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) 1. Greet and assist customers in a friendly, courteous manner2. Receive and route telephone calls3. Answer routine questions and resolving problems when appropriate4. Schedule appointments/meetings and maintain Benefits Staff calendar5. Review and respond to Benefits email6. Be prepared to route non-routine requests for information to the appropriate person within Human Resources7. Receive and route mail8. Receive, process and maintain employee education and TRIP forms9. Build and maintain packets for employee benefits orientation; employee exit; RSVP meetings; parental leave; short-term disability meetings10. Calculate and track RSVP points and eligibility11. Calculate, data enter and track leave balances12. Process vacation payouts for exiting employees13. Update Benefit forms and Benefit website information14. Update and maintain the Benefits section of the HR website15. Process print requests16. Complete deduction adjustments for payroll17. Maintain and update permanent, confidential Employee Benefit files18. Data enter and maintain employee benefit records in Banner19. Receive Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAF) using the Banweb system for exiting employees20. Complete benefit vendor audits21. Track and send Affordable Cares Act offer letters22. Prepare check requests and Reallocation of Expenditures23. Run Banner reports related to employee benefits24. Be knowledgeable about the organization and business of the Benefits Office25. Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work. Actively engage in University continuous improvement initiatives.26. Integrate safety practices into daily activities27. Assist with special projects, functions and events 28. Responsible for special projects as assigned by department29. Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.30.
