Applicants with the required education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and accomplishments commensurate with a higher rank will also be considered for an appointment at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Applicants for the position are required to have earned doctorates in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field. All research areas are of interest, including space technology, electric vehicles, NVH, aerospace technology, composites, systems engineering, and more. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses effectivelyMentoring and advising undergraduate and graduate studentsDevelop externally funded research programs in your area of interestPublish research results in conference and peer-reviewed journal publications.Secure internal and external research funding to support graduate students and your research program.Successfully work with diverse individualsCommit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work and adhere to applicable safety protocols. Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements) Applicants for the position are required to have earned doctorates in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related field. Required Experience (minimum requirements) Applicants must have experience in Engineering or science research resulting in scholarly publications and must demonstrate through experience, familiarity with financial/funding resources, and opportunities available to faculty utilized by U.S. Academic Institutions.
