Residence Education Coordinator Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
As a member of the Residence Education and Housing Services team, the Residence Education Coordinator will assume a vital role in the residence life program for the growth of the individual through community living. The Residence Education Coordinator is responsible for providing and supporting student development and leadership, building community, and promoting learning in the residence halls. Postdoctoral Scholar, Geological & Mining Engineering & Sciences Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The department of Geological and Mining Engineering and Sciences is searching for a postdoctoral scholar in volcanology, atmospheric science, or remote sensing. This postdoctoral research associate will work on a new NASA-funded project to further develop and extend ultraviolet (UV) satellite-based measurements of volcanic sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions. The postdoc will analyze SO2 measurements derived from several past and current NASA and European satellite instruments (including the Total Ozone Mapping Spectrometer [TOMS], Ozone Monitoring Instrument [OMI] and Tropospheric Monitoring Instrument [TROPOMI]), estimate volcanic SO2 emissions, and merge data from different satellite sensors to develop consistent, multi-decadal records of SO2 degassing.

Research Scientist Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Research Scientist will work closely with the Aquatic Nitrogen Fixation Research Coordination Network leadership team to coordinate working group activities, participate in data syntheses and lead publications on group activities. The Institute for computing and Cybersystems (ICC) at Michigan Technological University (Michigan Tech) promotes collaborative, cross-disciplinary research and learning experiences in the areas of biocomputing and digital health, computing education, cyber-physical systems, cybersecurity, data sciences, human-centered computing, and scalable architectures and systems. The ICC institute includes more than 70 collaborative faculty and researchers from 14 disciplines within the College of Computing, the College of Engineering, College of Sciences and Arts, College of Business, and the College of Forest Resources and Environmental Sciences. ICC staff support seven centers operating under the ICC. The Institute is seeking to establish a second professional staff position to provide 1) comprehensive research development support (including pre- and post-award proposal development and management) to Institute members; 2) assist in day-to-day operations of the Institute; 3) provide administrative assistance to Institute leadership; and, 4) provide on-campus and external outreach to help foster Institute growth. This position will work closely with members of the Great Lakes Research Center’s administrative team to support ICC and University research growth.
