The Professor and Executive Director of the Institute of Computing and Cybersystems (ICC) is a forward thinking, innovative, and collaborative leader who provides strategic leadership for the computing research enterprise at Michigan Technological University. The position is open to areas of computing and information science research, with a particular emphasis on AI and data science. The selected candidate will hold a faculty appointment within the unit most closely aligned to their background, likely within the College of Computing. Beyond their faculty role, the executive director role reports directly to the Vice President for Research. Senior Research Engineer Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
Michigan Technological University is seeking a part-time (0.5 FTE) position that serves as an advocate and technical resource for Michigan’s local (city, village, county) agencies. The position will provide engineering technical support for activities underway at the Center for Technology & Training, which includes work with the Michigan Local Technical Assistance Program (LTAP), the Great Lakes Environmental Infrastructure Center (GLEIC), the Bridge Load Rating Program, the Roadsoft asset management software package, and other research projects. The position requires a strong background in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation (roads or bridges), or environmental infrastructure (drinking water, sewer, and storm water systems).
