Job Description Summary

Michigan Technological University’s Department of Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics (ME-EM) invites applications for a non-tenure-track lecturer position. We seek candidates with expertise in mechanical engineering in general and particularly in lean manufacturing, additive manufacturing, quality engineering, and CAD/CAM/CAE.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

Teach undergraduate and graduate mechanical engineering courses.
May include service on committees.
Conduct outreach activities.
Assist with department's assessment.

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements)

PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

Classroom teaching experience.
Expertise in mechanical engineering in general and particularly lean manufacturing, additive manufacturing, quality engineering, and CAD/CAM/CAE.

The work environment is that of a typical office and/or classroom setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Required Training and Other Conditions of Employment
