Job Description Summary

The School of Business and Economics at Michigan Technological University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Accounting starting August 2020.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

The successful candidate will develop or continue a vigorous, nationally visible research program, and engage in quality teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate accounting degree programs.

Engage in service activities.

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements)

Candidates must have a PhD or be ABD in Accounting or a closely related area from an AACSB accredited school.

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

0-2 years teaching experience in accounting/information systems at the undergraduate or graduate level.

Desirable Education and/or Experience

Highly desired are candidates with research expertise that align with the Michigan Tech Forward Initiative in Data Revolution and Sensing. (https://www.mtu.edu/president/techforward/).

Evidence of having an active research program in contemporary accounting/information systems topics.
