This individual will develop a high-level understanding of communications that are sent to prospective students, and will be responsible for ensuring that email, mail, event, and publication related materials are in sync with one another and align with the University’s direction. This individual will work with the Admissions CRM database, Slate, creating, building, and managing electronic communications. They will also manage the publication review process and assist with maintaining Admissions and Financial Aid webpages. Responsibilities and Essential Duties 1. Manage the overall applied student communication plan, working with Admissions, Financial Aid, Enrollment Operations, and University Marketing and Communications to ensure communications meet the needs of prospective students and their families.2. This role requires independent judgment, strategic thinking, and high-level professional discretion to ensure accuracy, alignment with institutional goals, and mitigation of reputational risk.3. Lead the planning, design, and execution of high-visibility print communications for Admissions and Financial Aid—including letters, publications, and other key correspondence—serving as the primary liaison with University Marketing and Communications to ensure consistent brand and messaging strategy.4. Develop and oversee multi-channel communication strategies in Slate Deliver, including drip campaigns and ad hoc outreach, to drive prospective student engagement and support institutional enrollment goals.5. Serve as a liaison between Admissions and other departments sending communications to prospective students.6. Guide staff and/or student workers contributing to communications, providing feedback, coaching, and oversight of task execution.7. Manage and continuously improve Slate portals for admission and scholarship applications by seeking feedback, incorporating user experience improvements, and applying conditional logic, queries, and HTML updates.8. Monitor and evaluate communication effectiveness using Slate query and reporting tools; provide regular reports and make recommendations for optimization.9. Write filter queries in Slate to capture the correct audience for communications.10. Utilize conditional logic and read and edit HTML to maintain and improve digital letters and portals.11. Create forms with logic flows for data intake and information gathering.12. Assist with updates on Admissions and Financial Aid webpages.13. Assist the Director of Operations for University Relations and Enrollment on communications related to Evenings of Excellence and Leading Scholar events.14. Collaborate with University Marketing and Communications on social media content for key events and initiatives.15. Stay up to date on Slate software changes to make continuous improvements.16. Know and utilize university style and branding guides. 17. Other duties as assigned. Required Education, Certifications, Licensures Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, business or related field. Required Experience 3 years of marketing or communications experience. Desirable Education and/or Experience • Experience working with communications at a higher education institution.• Experience organizing a large-scale recruiting communication plan.• Experience working within Slate CRM, Salesforce, or similar CRM system. Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Basic query writing or coding skills.• Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete within deadlines. Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities • Familiar with markup languages, such as HTML.• Intermediate-level query writing or coding skills.• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across many departments. Work Environment and/or Physical Demands WORK ENVIRONMENT: This is an office environment with work done at a desk (sitting or standing); ability to lift up to 40 pounds.The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The final salary will depend on experience and qualifications.
